Finding my (blogging) wings.

Okay, so I know that I'm jumping in a little late to this blogging thing. Who knows how long I've been reading and following other people's ideas, rantings, projects, and stories!?!

Periodically, I've kept a journal of my own -- writing about the ins and outs of my life.  But I've had some trouble with the upkeep.  There have always been those moments I knew I wanted to chronicle, but never had the time.  Then whenever I had a second to stop and think about those things, I couldn't remember the little details that made them so special. 

But I think this blogging thing may just work for me.  I suppose the 'old-fashion' in me didn't want to admit that I could use modern technology to keep a better journal.  Obviously, paper and pen have been doing something "write" considering they're still around! (Okay, so my first stupid pun - just so you know, I'll use them a lot -- especially in reference to birds.  I'm kinda cuckoo nerdy like that.) And I admit there's a little excitement in the idea that I can share my thoughts and actions with someone (and they hopefully like it) before I've flown the coop.

So, here it is.  I'm Raven.  And welcome to this safe place where I'll share things about my family, my home, my life.
